Transportation and Distribution Services Update

In response to the recent changes made to slow the spread of COVID-19, UCI Transportation is practicing physical distancing and has adjusted its operational practices to support the safety of our campus community. As the campus proceeds to limit access to essential individuals only, the following services remain available. Service updates may be found on our COVID-19 Operations Update as the campus response continues to evolve.

Mail Service Holiday Hours

Parking permit reprieves will remain in effect until further notice. During this time, safety violations, disabled parking stalls, patient stalls, service stalls, and stalls marked for specific departments or persons will continue to be enforced.

If you have reactivated a payroll deduction parking permit, no further action is required as payroll suspension will be taken care of centrally until further notice. Payments made by check or credit card will be refunded to the original payment method and address provided at the time of purchase.

Motorist Assistance - COVID-19 Update

Our Motorist Assistance Program continues to operate with modified service hours. Services such as an emergency ride home, battery jumpstart, vehicle lockout, emergency gas delivery, and mobile EV charging are available Monday through Friday from 7 am-6 pm, and Saturday through Sunday from 7 am-2 pm.

UCI Recongized in Green Fleet Awards with Top 10 Ranking

Thanks to the efforts of UCI Transportation, the University of California, Irvine was recognized as having the 10th greenest fleet in the nation during the Sustainable Fleet Technology Conference on September 9, 2020.

Among this years' award recipients, UCI is the highest-ranked university and received the highly selective Best University or College Fleet Merit Award. Our campus accepted this special recognition for our reduced fuel consumption and successful implementation of sustainable transportation through Anteater Express' all-electric shuttle buses.

2020-2021 Membership Sign-Ups Available

Those who commute sustainably may sign up for the 2020-2021 ST Membership through myCommute. Telecommuting has been added to the list of qualifying sustainable commute options. ST members may receive participation incentives, including occasional-use parking permits. Due to the current parking permit reprieve, use of occasional-use permits is not required to park on campus.
